New Acquisition to our Fleet (2022) - M.V SOL RESILIENCE

Transworld Group Singapore has taken delivery of our next container vessel M.V SOL RESILIENCE on 5th December 2022 at 1208 hours (Singapore time) at Hai Phong, Vietnam.

Transworld Group Singapore has taken delivery of our 12th container vessel M.V SOL STRIDE on Monday, 5th April 2021 at 1218 hours (Singapore time) at the Singapore Anchorage.

Mr Mahesh Sivaswamy was presented a memento in appreciation of his steadfast commitment and outstanding contribution to the Advisory Council on Community Relations in Defence (ACCORD) Employer and Business by MINDEF Singapore.

This memento was presented by ACCORD (E&B) Council Co-Chair, Mr Tony Chew.

Transworld Group Singapore has taken delivery of our next container vessel M.V SOL PROMISE, on Thursday 4th March at 1948 hours (Singapore time) at the Singapore Anchorage.

Mr. Mahesh Sivaswamy has been appointed as Member of ACCORD, Employer and Business (E&B). A memento was also presented to Mr. Mahesh in appreciation of his contribution to ACCORD by MINDEF Singapore.

With effect from Wednesday, 1st July 2020, Orient Express Lines (Singapore) Pte Ltd operates under its new name ‘Straits Orient Lines (Singapore) Pte Ltd. With this renaming, the company is affirming its regional focus within Asia’s dynamic and rapidly expanding markets. SOL honours the Straits of Singapore and Malacca as their principal channel of trade and defines our focus in our core competency regions of the Bay of Bengal, South East Asia and South Asia Corridors. Transworld Terminals Dadri Pvt Ltd was awarded the Winner of CFS Operator of the year at the Multimodal Logistics Award 2020.

December 9th marked the commencement of TRANSWORLD GLS Dubai. The office was declared open by Mr. Mahesh Sivaswamy, jointly attended by Mrs. Mala Mahesh &Mr. Murli Mahesh. Orient Express Lines Singapore Pte Ltd celebrated the 20th year Anniversary of its operations at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel on Thursday, 29th August 2019.

Mr. Mahesh Sivaswamy was the organising Chairman of “Indian Women of the year 2019” event hosted by the Singapore Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (SICCI). Transworld Terminals Pvt Ltd was awarded the Container Freight Station Company of the year at The Gateway Awards 2019, held in Mumbai.

Transworld Group Singapore had taken delivery of M.V. OEL Progress on 31st July at 1245 hours (SGT) at the Singapore PSA Terminal.

M.V BLPL TRUST made her maiden call at Jebel Ali on 30th July 2019. Transworld Group Singapore had taken delivery of M.V. OEL FORTUNE on Monday, 22nd July at 1245 hours (SGT) at Singapore Anchorage.

Mr. Ganesh Krishnan inaugurated the training centre at our CFS, Nhava Sheva. Mr. Manish Chandra, Commissioner of Customs Port Kolkata was invited as the Chief Guest for thecommencement of our Transworld Terminals Kolkata CFS on February 20, 2019.

Albatross Inland Ports team won the CFS of the year award at the Northern India Multimodal Logistics Awards 2019.

Kolkata Port Trust complimented Transworld Global Logistics Solutions (India) Pvt Ltd division as the ‘2nd Highest Performer Container Feeder’ for 2018 to 2019.

Transworld Terminals Pvt Ltd, Mundra, was announced as Winner of Container Freight Station Operator of The Year for Excellence in Cargo & Logistics Sector at the Gujarat Junction Cargo & Logistics Awards 2019. Orient Express Lines Singapore was awarded 5th place in Feeder Line Operators recorded volume in 2019 at the Port of Colombo Awards 2019 held at Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo.

History

Mr Mahesh Sivaswamy, Founder and Chairman, relocated to Singapore in July 1999, with a vision to establish Transworld Group Singapore (TGS) as a prominent Shipping House of high repute in Asia with its base in Singapore.

Mr Mahesh gained extensive experience in various fields of shipping, logistics & international trading, while working at his father’s office, early in his career, in India. Late Mr R Sivaswamy founded his shipping business in India and Middle East in the late 70s.

Mr Mahesh's favourite quote of his father's was ‘Action without delay is the secret of my success’. He emulated this nugget of wisdom in all aspects of his life and conscientiously followed his father's example of hard work, integrity, entrepreneurial spirit and tremendous foresight.
